12. ‘Av a cuppa at The Ritz

This has been on my list forever and totally worth the wait.

Laura and I headed in to London on the day of the marathon and enjoyed being treated like royalty, whilst the runners got their sweat on – it’s all about balance right?

We were lead in to the Palm Court,  a bright, charming space, where we enjoyed the quintessential British experience that is Afternoon Tea at The Ritz.

Naturally we started with a glass of Champagne, darling.

Next up was the cutest finger sandwiches with classic fillings and our choice of tea – we went for The Ritz Royal English blend.

We were then spoilt for choice with a selection of cakes, pastries and of course scones with strawberry jam and thick clotted cream – they weren’t stingy either!

All in all, it was an amazing dining experience. Delicious food in beautiful surroundings, served by immaculate waiters, and to make it extra special (the icing on the cake, if you will) we were entertained by the resident pianist, Harpist and String Quintet.

Cost – £68 per person (inc. champagne)

Sittings for Afternoon Tea take place at 11:30, 13:30, 15:30, 17:30, 19:30
